abstract = {Curative-intent resection is the only treatment of perihilar cholangiocarcinoma (pCCA) offering patients the chance for long-term survival. Surgery generally requires an (extended) hemi-hepatectomy including the caudate lobe with resection of the extrahepatic bile duct and a regional lymph node dissection. pCCA is considered resectable when negative surgical margins can be obtained while safeguarding adequate vascular inflow to the future liver remnant.},
