HBSN is now indexed in PubMed & PubMed Central

Published: 2014-01-23

The Hepatobiliary Surgery and Nutrition (HBSN) is now indexed in PubMed and PubMed Central (PMC), two important and extensive biomedical digital databases, which means authors publishing in HBSN will enjoy maximum exposure of their research. HBSN would like to express sincere gratitude for the continued and vigorous support and contributions from all the editorial board members, authors, reviewers and readers.

PMC is a web-based repository and retrieval system, managed by the National Center for Biotechnology Information at the U.S. National Library of Medicine. There is no doubt that indexing on PubMed Central will enhance the visibility of articles published in HBSN, as abstracts and full articles will be more easily accessed by users. HBSN strongly supports the PMC goal of open access and international collaboration, as this mirrors one of the fundamental goals of HBSN.

Launched in December 2012, HBSN is a bimonthly-published, peer reviewed and open access journal, which is dedicated to describe new findings in hepatobiliary diseases, provide current and practical information on diagnosis, prevention and clinical investigations. Although still at age 2 of its birth, HBSN is a rapid-growing and budding publication with an international editorial board (www.thehbsn.org/about/editorialTeam) which brings together a team of highly experienced specialists in hepatobiliary diseases treatment and research.
