Faouzi SALIBA is an Associate Professor in Hepatology and Gastro-Enterology and at the University of Paris-Saclay, France and is in charge of the Intensive Care and Endoscopy Unit at the Hepato-Biliary Centre and Liver Transplant Unit at Paul Brousse Hospital (Assistance Publique-Hôpitaux de Paris). He is a consultant in Hepatology and Gastro-enterolgy and has been working for over 30 years in the management of patients affected with hepato-biliary diseases and liver transplantation.
Dr Saliba has conducted, coordinated and participated in several international and national clinical trials in the fields of transplantation, hepatology, artificial and bioartificial liver support, immunology and infectious diseases. He is a board member of the bureau of the EASL-CLIF consortium research group.
He has been in the Administrative board of Paul Brousse-Bicètre-Béclère Hospital group and a membership of several Hospital and national committees, including the Francophone society of transplantation, Gastroenterology, Hepatology, Digestive Endoscopy, Intensive care, Hepato-biliary Surgery and Transplantation societies. Dr Saliba is also a member of the European Society for Organ Transplantation, the European Association of the Study of Liver Disease, the International Liver Transplantation Society and the American Society of Microbiology. He has published over 180 original papers in official and peer-reviewed journals, and a large number of other journal articles, book chapters and textbooks. Dr Saliba has also presented, during the last twenty years, hundreds of original papers at conferences and has chaired numerous sessions and symposia at national and international congresses.
