Prof. Tian Yang currently holds the positions of Professor of Hepatobiliary Surgery, Vice Director of the Department of Hepatobiliary Surgery, and Vice President of the Clinical Research Institute at the Eastern Hepatobiliary Surgery Hospital, affiliated with Navy Medical University of Shanghai, China. He earned his doctorate in general surgery from the Second Military Medical University of Shanghai in 2013 and completed an academic program in Solid Organ Transplantation and Hepatic Surgery at Mount Sinai Hospital, New York, in 2014. Dr. Yang has dedicated his career to clinical work, focusing on patients with hepatobiliary diseases, as well as to clinical and basic research in primary liver cancer, encompassing hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) and cholangiocarcinoma. His scholarly contributions include over 300 publications in peer-reviewed, SCI-indexed journals as either the first or corresponding author, with an H-index of 39. He has published > 300 papers in peer-reviewed SCI-cited journals as first or corresponding author (H-index 39), including JAMA Surg, Ann Surg, BJS, HBSN, Adv Mater, Small, Gut, Hepatology, J Hepatol, etc. He is an esteemed member of the scientific committee for the International Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary Association (IHPBA) from 2018 to 2022 and the Asian-Pacific Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary Association (A-PHPBA) from 2013 to 2019. Dr. Yang also serves on the editorial boards of numerous journals, including HBSN, View Med, Trans Oncol, HPB, Front Immunol, iLIVER, etc.
