Saving private healthcare after the verdict

Michael Kalthoff

Abstract

“In Saving Private Healthcare, Michael Kalthoff lays out a plan, which radically changes the healthcare system as we know it, by re-establishing the financial relationship between the patient and the care that they receive. This Initiative, as he calls it, is an ‘all in’ approach consisting of 10 reforms, based on free-market principles, personal responsibility and choice. It calls for getting the government out of the healthcare business and for getting insurance companies out of the business of managing care. It rewards those doctors who choose to give charitable healthcare and offers solutions for the medical-malpractice problem and the high costs associated with defensive medicine. Mr. Kalthoff has calculated that full implementation of this initiative would result in savings of $2 Trillion annually.
