Prioritising preventive approaches for metabolic dysfunction-associated steatohepatitis in high-risk populations: a narrative review
Abstract
Despite growing progress in the management of metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD), substantial unmet needs persist in preventing metabolic dysfunction-associated steatohepatitis (MASH), particularly among individuals with type 2 diabetes (T2D), who carry a disproportionately high risk of progression. This narrative review examines the latest evidence on strategies that may be employed to prevent MASH among high-risk populations.
