Prospective study to evaluate the prognostic value of different nutritional assessment scores in liver surgery: NURIMAS Liver (DRKS00006340)
In this prospective observational cohort study, the association of malnutrition and complications in liver surgery was investigated. Twelve different commonly used nutritional assessment score were tested. None of the scores proofed to be an independent predictor of morbidity. Other methods should be investigated in future trials to assess the impact of nutritional status in liver surgery.
Pembrolizumab combined with lenvatinib as non-first-line therapy in patients with refractory biliary tract carcinoma
Co-inhibition targeting anti-angiogenesis and PD-1/PDL1 signaling shows potent antitumor efficacy in many solid tumors. This study preliminarily demonstrated that the therapeutic strategy with lenvatinib plus pembrolizumab is a promising and safe regimen from a single center cohort enrolled 32 patients with advanced biliary tract cancers.

International expert consensus on laparoscopic pancreaticoduodenectomy*
The present international consensus statement on the technical standards for laparoscopic pancreaticoduodenectomy (LPD) can be used to guide the continued safe progression and adoption of LPD. More robust randomized controlled trial and registry study are essential to proceed with the assessment of such technique.
